Intake Guidelines

  • Starting dose is 5 mg. to be taken once a day

If symptoms of overdose are suspected, seek urgent medical attention immediately. The most common symptoms of overdose are abrupt lowering of blood pressure and faster beating of the heart.

Missed Dose

When a dose of Norvasc (Amlodipine) is missed and the time for the next dose is far enough, you may take the missed dose but if the time for the next dose is already near, you may skip that dose and proceed to the next one. It is not advisable to take double doses of this medicine unless otherwise stipulated by your doctor.

Side Effects

The intake of Norvasc (Amlodipine) may entail serious side effects such as:

  • Allergies characterized by hives, difficulty in breathing, swelling of lips, tongue and mouth
